In the late 90s, Karen and Marty Diamond made the decision to sell Marty’s dental practice in metropolitan Washington D.C. and move with their two small children to the mountains of rural Virginia.
They purchased 10 acres of land with two small farm houses. They moved into the smaller house with plans to renovate the larger one. After consulting several general contractors in the area, it became apparent they needed to demolish the larger house and start from scratch.
Tired of the cramped living conditions in the smaller house, Karen and Marty needed a quick housing solution that would meet the needs of their growing family and satisfy their demands for quality.

After researching area contractors, the Diamonds discovered Southern Heritage Homes. The couple had several meetings to discuss design parameters and, after a floor plan was executed, construction was soon underway inside the company’s production facilities.
In eight weeks the home was 85 percent complete and ready for delivery to the job site. Southern Heritage Homes’ personnel were there to make sure the eight modular components were set and safely secured to the permanent foundation. They completed all outside and inside turnkey finishing of the home several weeks later.
Within three months of planning, the Diamonds were happily in their new home which was customized to their needs and tastes.
